Evaluation question 3

create an animated gif
create an animated gif In having people that would fit in the ages of my target audience answer my feedback questionnaires, I found that the majority of the feedback was good with high ratings of qualities like entertainment and informing. However, if I was to recreate my documentary I would film a range of different cutaways to ensure that they were more interesting and slightly less repetitive as a few of them included cups of tea. I would also ensure that the camera work was filmed more carefully. In terms of the radio trailer, I would perhaps cut out some of the lengthly pauses in speech as there are some stutters in speech. With the print advert, if I was to make any changes I would make the main image blend in a little better with the background or possibly make it a little bit smaller so that it could have a more serious and professional look.

Drafting newspaper advertisement

The draft of our newspaper advertisement includes a shop background with the main image being a girl holding shopping bags which would then in the editing process be replaced with tea bags. Also, conventionally, the channel 4 logo is used and the scheduling. Here is the draft of the newspaper advertisement that my partner drew:

Scripting radio trailer.

When establishing the radio trailer codes and conventions, it was notable that there is frequently more than one voice included within a radio trailer. Therefore, I was told to include clips from my documentary and so I decided to use a clip from the Brigette's interview, "It's very English it reminds you of being at home" to open the radio trailer, a vox pop to follow "it keeps me warm", a clip from the Donna Robinson interview and one from the hairdresser interview explaining the process and outcome of their craft and also a clip of Paul Needham expressing how cheap tea is. Here is the overall voiceover that these clips were added to: But have you ever considered the endless possibilities that lie within a simple cup of tea? Hairstyles. Fashion. Cooking. Soothin sores. Polishing. Even Forseeing the future. Perhaps if you had, you could have saved yourself some time and money. It's not too late to discover the unthinkable, what does the bag really hold? Tune in to channel 4 on Wednesday at 7pm for Bags for life to find out.

Today we went to Lancashire Tea to take some images in preparation for our interview. We scouted the location and found that the line on which the tea is produced and packaged could be filmed and used for cutaways and potentially that we could take images for archive material:
